INTERFLEX STOCK HOLDING

We carry stocks from Class 250 to Class 1250. Our range includes Polyester-Nylon (fabric) and Steel Cord conveyor belting in all grades (Oil resistant, flame resistant, heat resistant, chemical resistant, cut and gouge resistant).

Interflex offers to hold consignment stock (in country) for contract holders, we also have the largest stock holding of conveyor belting in Africa held at our facility in Springs, ensuring quick deliveries for breakdowns.

Raw material suppliers, acquisition and manufacturing are fully determined by and controlled within the mandate requirements as noted by ISO9001. This means that raw materials are sourced and supplied to the specific requirements with full traceability, as required by the certification.

We have full slitting and rolling facilities at our premises, in order to keep a large amount of stock. For items that are not part of our stock holding, we require sufficient time to make up the order. Normal delivery of these items can vary from:-

Fabric: 10-12 weeks (quantity dependant)

Steel Cord: 10-12 weeks (quantity dependant)

We are negotiable to holding stock items that are critical to your business continuation.

SERVICE

Our technical team offer a full back up service and on site belt recommendations with maintenance charts. Our methods used to determine belt failure are tried and trusted. We have state of the art software to determine correct belt specifications as well as problems.

We have 45 production lines across steel cord, textile reinforced and solid woven PVC options.

In addition to this, we have capacity to produce 24 million square meters per annum, with the ability to produce belt widths up to 2700mm wide.

Textile Reinforced Belts

Suits many conveyance applications from mining and earth moving to agriculture and mineral processing.

STEEL CORD REINFORCED BELTS

Suitable for large span, long distance transportation of materials.
  • High tensile strength: The belts are suitable for large span, long distance transportation of materials.
  • Low elongation in use: The belts only need a very short take-up stroke distance.
  • Superior adhesion: Due to the excellent penetration of rubber between the individual cord  filaments.
  • Even tension of steel cords: Out of our advanced techniques in manufacturing, the steel cords are evenly arranged and carry equal tension during the manufacturing process.
  • Good trough-ability: As the belt body have no transverse reinforcement, it is easy to form a deep trough, so the belts can load more materials and prevent the materials from escaping.

HEAT RESISTANT BELTS

Conveyor systems transporting materials with a temperature greater than 60°.
  • Heat – Excellent resistance to heat-crack and softening
  • Covers – Compound has substantial resistance to wear and abrasion
  • Material – Commonly utilized for conveying coke, cement clinker, burnt lime and special chemicals.
Heat specs
Widely used in fiery mines i.e. underground mines, power stations and chemical industries.
  • Properties – Excellent flame, Anti-static characteristics for fiery applications
  • Strength – High tensile strength in proportion to weight
  • Carcass – Good integrity, no delamination and excellent resistance to impact
  • PVC – Solid Woven Fabric dipped in PVC paste combined together by vulcanization
  • Application – Utilized in dry conditions with a slope angle less than 16°
  • PVG – Solid Woven Fabric dipped in PVC paste including Nitrile rubber covers combined by vulcanization
  • Application – Utilized in wet and low temperature applications. Resistant to wear, slip and elongation

Used for conveying loose, bulk or bagged materials at short flight inclined angles.
  • Slip – Belt is equipped with vertical cleats to withstand material slip
  • Properties – Ability to convey materials at an inclination of up to 45°
  • Design – Cleat pattern, angle and height to suite all applications.

Permits the transportation of bulk materials at inclines ranging from 18 degrees to 90 degrees, while still maintaining the feed and discharge properties of a standard belt conveyor.

  • Used in place of drag chain conveyors and/or bucket elevators, particularly when the product attributes are better suited for less vigorous handling. 
  • Design – Fitted with corrugated sidewalls and cross cleats, which create pockets that contain the product as it is transported up an incline. Cleats prevent fall-back of material.
  • Most effective way of elevating materials. Mainly used in power plants (coal/ ash/ gypsum), crushing plants (rock, gravel/ sand), mining (ore/ limestone/ chemicals), steel plants (alloys/ scrap metal/ iron ore), etc.
